The brand

My story and that of Manoyas are one and the same story. Manoyas was my dream since childhood. In 2023 it became reality.

Since I was very young, my story has been woven with brilliance and mystery, a melody made of jewels and stories, in Rabat, Morocco, where I was born. My world was imbued with these precious creations, and I was introduced to it by the one who would become my mentor, my mother, a woman from elsewhere, who fell in love with this universe by marrying my father and settling in Morocco . Weekends were our sacred moments, an enchanted parenthesis where the city of Rabat was transformed into a vast treasure to explore. The windows of the jewelry stores in the city and the medina sparkled with a thousand promises, and each piece of jewelry seemed to have its own story to tell.

In the midst of this visual abundance, what captivated me were Fatima's hands. Delicate and elaborate, mysterious, they stimulated my imagination as a little girl in search of meaning. They seemed to whisper to me tales of a bygone era where magic mingled with everyday life. This is how the curious and dreamy little girl that I was began to collect them, with the help of kind merchants who offered them to me. Each of them, with its unique story, became a source of inspiration and comfort in the midst of the closed world in which I grew up, talismans against the tumults of life.

As a teenager, I became passionate about philosophy and discovered jewelry that carried meaning, those we call “manifest jewelry.” A revelation . The Cartier “Love” bracelet, which somewhat reflected my own inner dilemma. Later, they came to celebrate the birth of my children, thus completing the cycle. The handcuffs of Dinh Van, freedom and emancipation, a mark of an infinite source of inspiration and aspiration for the adolescent prisoner of my environment that I was. I dreamed of Paris, of the École Boulle, of jewelry while preparing my file with my final year plastic arts teacher but destiny decided otherwise. A business school , beginnings in consulting then in banking, opportunities to live in other countries.

Then, one day, I was finally able to return to my childhood dreams, those of weekends spent exploring jewelry stores. My dream was called “creating jewelry”, “jewelry that embody words, values, ideals”. The synchronicities multiplied as if by magic to help me overcome the mountains of difficulties that inevitably presented themselves. I realize that the most beautiful stories are created when we have the audacity to share ours.

The brand will be called Manoyas "the hands of Yasmine", an obvious tribute to these gold and silver hands which so captivated the little girl that I was. We always return to our childhood dreams, to our deep essence. I have always looked for much more in jewelry than simple aesthetic objects. Find the meaning, the symbolism, the visual representation of ideals and philosophical aspirations that transcend their external beauty. Manoyas is designed as a deep emotional experience through visual talismans that embody our dreams, what our soul longs for.
